We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced iPhone App Tester to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about mobile apps, possesses a sharp eye for detail, and enjoys uncovering bugs and usability issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive testing of iPhone and iPad applications, including functionality, features, and UI/UX.
Conduct end-to-end app testing, ensuring all features work seamlessly across iOS devices running version 15.0 or later.
Test in-app purchase flows to verify successful transactions and error handling.
Identify, report, and document bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies with detailed steps and evidence (screenshots, recordings, logs).
Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure issues are resolved and improvements are made.
Conduct usability testing to provide feedback on user experience, including layout, navigation, and accessibility.
Stay updated with iOS updates and ensure the app performs well on new releases.

Requirements:

Must own iPhones/iPads running iOS version 15.0 or later.
Ability to perform in-app purchases during testing (reimbursement for purchases will be provided).
Proven experience in app testing, including functionality, feature, and UI/UX testing.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
Keen observant with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before release.
Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks is a plus (e.g., TestFlight, Jira, or similar tools).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience testing across multiple iOS devices and screen sizes.
Knowledge of app store guidelines and requirements.

I’m writing this to express my interest for the iPhone/iPad App Tester role. Throughout my career, I’ve honed my skills in writing manual test cases, collaborating with the scrum team, Integration testing, collecting evidence and logs using Fiddler. I’m eager to bring my knowledge and experience to the team. I worked on the application QA team for McDonald’s Market. My role involved extensive manual testing, writing and executing test cases, and reporting defects using JIRA. I tested Kiosk and POS systems in a dedicated lab setup, which gave me hands-on exposure to testing a complete product.
When new features were introduced, I worked closely with clients to interpret and clarify requirements, designing test cases that aligned precisely with project objectives. This often involved scheduling detailed discussions with stakeholders to address ambiguities and ensure a thorough understanding of the system’s needs. In addition, I collaborated with backend teams to analyse Fiddler logs, identify root causes of defects, and streamline the resolution process. This experience honed my ability to dive into technical issues, communicate findings effectively, and maintain a results-oriented mindset throughout the testing lifecycle.
One of my key responsibilities was testing app features for Android and iOS, including UberEATS delivery, login flows and first-time user scenarios. Working within strict limits, I learned to be strategic and precise, saving and recording each test scenario to maximize efficiency and accuracy. I also used tools like Fiddler to gather logs and evidence for defect analysis, which was critical in triaging and resolving issues. This experience taught me how to plan effectively, pay attention to detail, and work collaboratively to deliver high-quality results.
My superpower is my ability to grasp new concept and adapt to newer technologies quickly. I might not know something today, but I can bet I can find ways to learn about it as quickly and effectively as possible. This is something I see myself doing for long term.
